This growing girl is the size of a papaya! Come read what else is new. :)

Saydee and Elijah wanted to help hold the sign! I can't wait until they get to meet their new cousin!!! 23 Weeks Total Weight Gain:   I weighed myself last night and I still only gained 1 pound total. I read an article the other day and it told me that based on my pre-pregnancy weight and height, I was actually a little bit over weight! I found that to be weird since I was only 130 (I’m now 131)! So you only gain weight as you need to and apparently I already had extra weight on me!  Maternity Clothes?   Yes! I finally got a bunch of new stuff which I never wanted to do but I really needed them! I spent a couple hours in Savers and Target and got a cute new mini wardrobe. I'm happy with my purchases and even more happy that I have a variety to choose from now! Was not able to find maternity jeans though! All the ones I tried were TOO long! Stretch Marks?    No stretch marks & no dark line on my belly....yet! Sleep?    I was waking up sore a few days un

My daughter rocks!

22 Weeks *I get all of these board ideas from girls I found on pintrest. Their handwriting is much cooler but I usually just TRY to copy what they write for the week (if I am experiencing the same things). Sometimes I tweek it to fit my own story but for the most part I just look at what other girls did. I should try to link their blogs because they are totally my inspiration for doing the board each week! Total Weight Gain:   Still just 1 pound, nothing more. My doctor said everyone is different. Some people gain 30 pounds, some gain 15 pounds and the next person could only gain 20…it just depends on the person. I’m really not worried. Just eating healthy but also eating what I want and exercising! Maternity Clothes?   While getting ready the other day I had to change my top a few different times because my shirts don’t fit- the tummy pops right out of the bottom! (Even the one in this picture is getting too small) That was such a rude awakening because I could not find

21 WEEKS Total Weight Gain:  You won’t believe it but I actually gained exactly 1 pound! Whoo-hoo! Hopefully now I will be gaining about a pound a week. We’ll see! Happy that I am finally putting on some weight, this girl is growing! :) Praise Jesus!!! Maternity Clothes?   I am able to wear my maternity pants now! Good thing because all my other pants and shorts do not button! I’m still wearing them with a hair tie though. All my shirts still fit too- life is good!  Have You Started to Show?   Oh yes, people at work are starting to get curious because people will make conversation with me and then randomly ask me if I have any kids. I think they are trying to get me to spill the beans! I have only told a couple people at work because I work in such a huge place I wanted to keep my personal life private for as long as possible. I don’t really like to talk about myself TOO much. With our situation there is also plenty of room for judgment and I want to stay away from that

We are Halfway there!

20 WEEKS Total Weight Gain:   None! I weighed myself at the gym and I am now back to my pre-pregnancy weight which means I have gained the 5 pounds back that I lost in the first trimester. Technically, still no weight gain though. The baby is growing and looking amazing- THAT is what I care about. Maternity Clothes?   Still not planning to buy any new maternity clothes because I love the hand me downs I’ve received. I want to invest in a belly band and maternity bras, although I LOVE the padded sports bras I have, I need some regular bras too. I also need to get a really nice warm winter coat as my belly will be bigger in the colder winter days. SO excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas!  Have You Started to Show?   Yes, and the baby is the size of a banana now! Amen! Honestly though, the belly is not as big as I thought it would be at 5 months pregnant! I hope I don’t balloon at the end!   Stretch Marks?  No, no, no! I bought the Palmer's cocoa butter lotion an

We're having a daughter!

"Wow" is all I can think after finding out we will be having a girl in just a few short months. Never thought in a million years that I'd be expecting my first baby at this time in my life. I just want to say that I'm in no way shape or form saying that a baby solves your problems, fixes relationships or is the right thing to do before marriage. I'm not advertising premarital sex as “good” or “OK” because you can get a baby from it. It doesn't make your life easier, in fact, it makes it harder! An unplanned pregnancy before you're ready is quite the challenge but that's not going to make us quit on each other and if anything, it makes us try that much harder because now we have a baby to think about too. It's no longer about "me" and that has been fun and hard to learn. We are growing and learning together and it's not the road we wanted to take, it's not the road God wanted us to take but He is not giving up on us either. Thi
