Homemade Applesauce

I found a recipe awhile ago on Pinterest and "re-created" my own version. It was a lot of fun making this and I hope you'll try it out and love it just as much! Since becoming a mom, I have really tuned in to my crafty and cooking side and it's been so fun. Pinterest is sometimes looked down on for making some people feel like they need to be the "perfect" person who cooks, cleans and makes everything homemade. I love it because it is so full of amazing tricks, ideas and organization that I absolutely love and, quite honestly, it's an amazing tool for me to LEARN. I'm still new to the whole "Married/Mom" thing so I have a blast reading about recipes, cleaning, home life, and all things baby. I enjoy it, so with that being said, here's the recipe! What you'll need:  4 or 5 apples of your choice. I used Honey Crisp Apples (SO good) Brown Sugar Cinnamon and Cinnamon Stick Apple Cider Tea or Water Fresh Lemon Juice

10 Month Update

10 MONTHS Head, Height, Weight: Her head is about 16 inches, height is about 30 inches and her weight is 24 pounds and some change. My big girl is in the 90 percentile for all category's! She's giant! :) Clothes: She fits good in 18 months so that's what we mainly have her in. She owns a few 24 month pieces and those fit with some extra room. Eating: This girl loves food (Can you tell?) and she will give anything a try! I was at work and David sent me this picture and I melted! She is such a fun baby! Baby Led Weaning has been a blast and I'm so glad I never wasted my time "making" baby food.  Sleeping: My perfect sleeper is nowhere to be found these days! Since turning 9 months, it seems she can't go a whole night without waking up once. When I hear her, I grab her and bring her to bed with us and I nurse her back to sleep. My goal was to put her back in her crib when she was done but 99% of the time, I fall back to sleep too!

Visiting Heaven

My dear friend Bethany recently sent out an e-mail sharing a conversation she had with her son. You see, Caleb has what is  known as Klinefelter Syndrome/ 47XXY and a seizure condition called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome. He is an AWESOME teenager with a huge heart and I just adore him and his brothers to pieces. I was incredibly blessed by his story and my hope is you will be too.  N ot long ago, on a night much like this one, Caleb suddenly announced, "Mom! Know what? I had a dream last night -- about going to heaven!" Although, at that particular moment, I was busy getting Micah and Daniel to sleep; I instinctively knew this was a precious, fleeting opportunity; one that would be gone forever, had I not immediately seized it. So that's just what I did! Below, is the unforgettable conversation which followed. Me: Tell me about this dream of yours -- from beginning to end -- I wanna hear all the details! (Caleb grinned from ear to ear) Caleb: Well...I was
