'Tis the Season...to be 30 weeks!!

30 Weeks!!!

Total Weight Gain: The last time I checked I had gained 9 pounds total.

Maternity Clothes? Nothing new. Just using the stash I have!

Stretch Marks? No.

Fruit/Veggie Size: The baby app says she is the size of a head of lettuce! Too cute.

Sleep? It's fine once I fall asleep. If I wake up in the middle of the night or earlyyy morning, I can never go back to a comfortable enough position without struggling. Eventually I get myself to be comfy but its never easy getting back to sleep. I'm still so thankful for the preggle- couldn't do it without my pillow!

Best Moment this Week: Baking cookies with my lovely friend Bethany! I got to hang out with her and her boys and we baked and watched Elf. I love sharing holiday cheer. :) Praising God for amazing friends and sisters in Christ!

Miss Anything? Sometimes I miss summer but then I think about a hot Christmas and that just doesn't seem right! I've actually enjoyed the rain and loved seeing God's promise in the rainbows :)

Food Cravings: grape jelly uncrustables with milk! :) hot sweet drinks usually intrigue me too, like hot cocoa, tea or Sbucks!

Food Aversions: No, I'm usually good and hungry for anything!

Symptoms: I think I pulled a tummy muscle or something because it hurts on a certain spot. When I first noticed it, I freaked out because I couldn't get her to move after that. I was worried I over did it lifting or something. No other real symptoms, though!

Belly Button: Getting flatter. I still Don't think it's going to pop out.

Happy or Moody? Oh so happy! Praise God for Christmas coming up! HE is the reason for the season!

Nursery Progress: Just waiting for furniture. I'm getting super anxious. Can't wait to wash, fold and organize her clothes. I'd do it now but it's just too soon.

Looking Forward to: Christmas!!!

Dear Gracelyn,

Sweet baby, you're two! My, how time has just flown by. Here we are on your second birthday and I am more in love with you now then ever before. You are so independent, so strong willed, brave and energetic. You get all of that from daddy. We are so proud of the little girl you have become and we can't wait to watch you grow up to be so much more. I am so blessed by you, Gracelyn. You have made me a better person all around.  I can't even remember what I used to do for fun. How many hours did I waste watching TV? Everything is much more fun with you around. I am reliving my childhood through your eyes and I have to say- it's one of the greatest experiences ever. One of my absolute favorite things about you is how you try not to smile and your lips press together as you try to hold back. Oh my goodness, EXACTLY like your dad. People say you either look just like him or a mix of both of us. Either way, you are the most beautiful little soul I have ever known. You...

The meaning of Gracelyn Elida.

When you chose your child’s name, did it have a meaning or did you pick it just because you liked it?             When David and I were talking about names, we were lost! Neither of us knew where to start nor had any picked out before. I always liked the name Christopher. It’s my dad’s name, my brother’s name, my nephew’s middle name and it’s also David’s middle name. It’s a family name and I knew I would pass this name to my child, had it been a boy. We also loved the name Daniel. It’s a strong name for a baby boy, young guy, and an older man. Can you picture a sweet baby named Bill or Ted? Maybe you can, but I sure can’t! Daniel is also a strong biblical character. He was a man of faith! He endured being in the lion’s den and was not harmed because he was brave and faithful.  The name Christopher has the word CHRIST in it. I believe the name Christopher comes from the word Christian, so after all of this the n...
