32 Weeks EIGHT months!

32Weeks

Total Weight Gain:  I don’t have a scale but my baby app says Ishould be gaining a pound a week now. This means I have 8 pounds more to go,more or less. Last week when I saw the doc, I was told all my weight gain isgoing straight to the belly and nowhere else- that’s definitely refreshing tohear!

Maternity Clothes?  I don’t have anythingnew. I have been wearing a lot of dresses with leggings and I am mostcomfortable with that. I LOVE my maternity jeans and wouldn’t give them up foranything but the stretchy belly band makes my tummy itch sometimes!

Stretch Marks? No…butmy skin has been itching like you couldn’t imagine! These last weeks of growthspurts could surely bring on the stretch marks! We shall see if I end up withthese badges of honor, haha!

Sleep?  So uncomfortable…the goodthing is when I finally get into a comfy position, I sleep the whole night!

Best Moment This Week:  The best moment this week was obviously Christmas!!I was extremely bummed to miss Christmas service at church but I loved seeing myfamily. A lot of my cousins and aunts got to feel her moving which wasawesome!! Everyone loves her already and it makes me feel amazing.

Miss Anything?  I miss younglife. I knowthis has nothing to do with pregnancy but I think about it a lot and I missgoing to club every Monday, seeing the kids and just having a blast. I alwayslook back on my younglife days and laugh when I think about the fact that Davidand I met through younglife! Haha, good times- I definitely plan to go back someday!

Movement?  To tell you the truth, sometimes I can’t get this girl to slow down! It feels like she is ready tocome out right now- she is starting to pounce on my bladder, punch my organsand use my ribs as monkey bars (with her feet of course since she is head downnow!) :)

Food Cravings:  Food in general. But I've been particularly liking PB&J's and fruit snacks lately!

Food Aversions:  Seafood.

Symptoms:  I have not had heartburnyet! I’m convinced that my little girl is bald. My co-worker is 2 weeks behindme and she has heartburn like no other. Other than that, I’ve had bad crampsagain- one night I flew out of my bed because it was so painful!
Belly Button:  It is in!

Happy or Moody?  Happy and anxious.Getting closer to birth and I have a million things going through my mind whenit comes to delivering naturally. I know for a fact that it is what I want todo but it’s also extremely nerve racking. Praying God continues to work in me.I know His hand will be on us, come delivery day/night.

Nursery Progress:  Hernursery is ready for furniture, hopefully getting that in the next week or two.She also got more clothes! My friend Lindsey’s sister also gave us a blanketand a box of clothes. Our girl is going to be extremely adorable in all hercute outfits! Cannot wait!
Looking Forward to:  If all goes as planned, David and I will have enoughmoney saved to get a 4D ultrasound! I cannot wait to see my baby girl’sfeatures and movement! I thank God EVERYDAY for giving her to us even though weare so UNdeserving.

Finding Shade in the Desert

A few weeks ago we went camping with David's parents. We had a blast, like always!  There was one day specific when I was trying to either change Gracelyn's diaper or put a sweater on her- I can't remember...honestly, knowing me,  I was probably trying to do both at the same time! Anyway, she was fighting me, pulling away and getting cranky with me but it had to be done. I finally got frustrated and said, "Grace, if only you knew that what I was doing was to help you and not hurt you, you wouldn't fight so much."  Immediately, my mother-in-law chimed in, "...You know, Sarah, how many times does God say that to US daily?" I was struck by those words and I laughed because it is so true. All the time.  Right now, we're going through a new series at church called Walking With God in the Desert. You know, in life we go through some stinky stuff- things that make us tired and exhausted, things that we have no desire to do or go through. Ki...

Dear Gracelyn,

Sweet baby, you're two! My, how time has just flown by. Here we are on your second birthday and I am more in love with you now then ever before. You are so independent, so strong willed, brave and energetic. You get all of that from daddy. We are so proud of the little girl you have become and we can't wait to watch you grow up to be so much more. I am so blessed by you, Gracelyn. You have made me a better person all around.  I can't even remember what I used to do for fun. How many hours did I waste watching TV? Everything is much more fun with you around. I am reliving my childhood through your eyes and I have to say- it's one of the greatest experiences ever. One of my absolute favorite things about you is how you try not to smile and your lips press together as you try to hold back. Oh my goodness, EXACTLY like your dad. People say you either look just like him or a mix of both of us. Either way, you are the most beautiful little soul I have ever known. You...
