29 weeks!

29 WEEKS

Total Weight Gain: Still Just 8 pounds!

Maternity Clothes? Nope. Hopefully not going to buy anymore for myself and start buying more and more stuff for her room!

Stretch Marks? Not yet although my belly has been extremely itchy! Growth spurt maybe?

Fruit/Veggie Size: The CUTEST Butternut Squash you've ever seen :)

Sleep? I am doing better with sleep. My preggle is a life saver!

Best Moment this Week: David took me to Glendale Glitters! I had so much fun and I even got my beloved caramel apple! We brought along David's younglife guy, Titus, which was a fun addition to the night out! I loved the vendors and even got to drink some yummy hot cocoa. By the end of the night, I was ready to head home but I still had a blast! Thankful for sharing holiday cheer with friends :)

Miss Anything? I really want to take this question out because the only things I can't do while pregnant is drugs and drink alcohol...I don't miss either of those things because I never used them! Sometimes i forget I'm pregnant because I feel really good and my appetite is that of a hungry grizzly. The beginning of the third trimester is actually smoother than the second! Maybe this will dramatically change in the next few weeks, lol!

Food Cravings: Paradise Bakery Salad, Wildflower Bread company's Potato soup, Chipotle burritos, Pineapple smoothies, carrots and broccoli, any fruit, frosted flakes, and laughing cow cheese! These are all usual things I eat through out the week!

Food Aversions:  I want to punch whoever invented relish or sweet pickles. They make pickles (my favorite) look bad! They are suppose to be sour NOT sweet. Sweet pickles are the worst invention ever!

Symptoms: Itchy belly! This is something that bothers me a lot! Also, I have a "linea negra" now  which is a dark vertical line down the tummy.

Belly Button: I don't think it will pop out but I do think it's becoming more and more flat!

Happy or Moody? Really happy this week! A lot of patients and visitors at work want to talk to me about my pregnancy which makes me feel special since I'm not used to the attention. I ALWAYS want to talk about my sweet baby :) Lots of friends have been able to feel kicks as well, and it just makes me the happiest girl alive knowing that my baby is growing and healthy. Thank you Jesus for my little bundle of preciousness!

Nursery Progress: Nothing new here but I am going to start on it this week which excites me so much!

Looking Forward to: Spending Christmas with my family! Cannot wait because we are celebrating with the whole family which is a ton of people! Love the holidays!! Christmas is my favorite. Amen!

I'm just so thankful and humbled by God. He is my peace and comfort in needy times- In this crazy messy world He is my still water. Thank you Jesus for being my constant source of refreshment. Continue to empty me so that I can be filled with YOU.

Finding Shade in the Desert

A few weeks ago we went camping with David's parents. We had a blast, like always!  There was one day specific when I was trying to either change Gracelyn's diaper or put a sweater on her- I can't remember...honestly, knowing me,  I was probably trying to do both at the same time! Anyway, she was fighting me, pulling away and getting cranky with me but it had to be done. I finally got frustrated and said, "Grace, if only you knew that what I was doing was to help you and not hurt you, you wouldn't fight so much."  Immediately, my mother-in-law chimed in, "...You know, Sarah, how many times does God say that to US daily?" I was struck by those words and I laughed because it is so true. All the time.  Right now, we're going through a new series at church called Walking With God in the Desert. You know, in life we go through some stinky stuff- things that make us tired and exhausted, things that we have no desire to do or go through. Ki...

Dear Gracelyn,

Sweet baby, you're two! My, how time has just flown by. Here we are on your second birthday and I am more in love with you now then ever before. You are so independent, so strong willed, brave and energetic. You get all of that from daddy. We are so proud of the little girl you have become and we can't wait to watch you grow up to be so much more. I am so blessed by you, Gracelyn. You have made me a better person all around.  I can't even remember what I used to do for fun. How many hours did I waste watching TV? Everything is much more fun with you around. I am reliving my childhood through your eyes and I have to say- it's one of the greatest experiences ever. One of my absolute favorite things about you is how you try not to smile and your lips press together as you try to hold back. Oh my goodness, EXACTLY like your dad. People say you either look just like him or a mix of both of us. Either way, you are the most beautiful little soul I have ever known. You...
